Jean Van Hamme, Belgium, born in Brussels in 1939. He was a brilliant student and worked as a sales engineer. In 1976, he abandoned his career to devote himself fully to writing. Van Hamme not writing for comics since he is the author of seven novels (The Telescope), scripts for film or television (Masters of Barley). But it is as comic book writer he is most recognized. Key achievements: The Great Power of the Chninkel, XIII, Largo Winch, Thorgal but also a reversal of Blake and Mortimer, the work of EP Jacobs.
